Carl De Villa – Lead Vocals

Carl has performed as a lead singer in bands throughout the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Republic of Palau and Australia.

He has been performing since he was in college, with everything from acoustic sets to ensemble bands, intimate performances and large-scale concerts under his belt.

He is passionate about singing and music, and has been since he was a child. Carl was part of the ensemble for the 42nd Street, Thuy understudy for Miss Saigon by Packemin Production in July & August 2017, and played the characters MC and Frank for Dreamgirls by Rockdale Musical Society in September 2017. He is locally touring to pay tribute to the famous Prince.

Lani Concepcion – Lead Vocals

Lani has travelled around Asia as a lead singer in various bands. She has loved singing since the age of 6, and has been performing since then.

Her voice and love of performing are her most treasured possessions, and ones she has used professionally in Australia as a warm-up act for Raymond Lauchengco and Piolo Pascual.

She is known as one of two lead singers in the popular cover band, M7.

James Lebios – Guitarist

The youngest and newest member of the group, let’s welcome James Lebios. The new lead guitarist of Kayu.

James started playing guitar as a kid, watching his father’s rock concert DVDs. He was influenced by Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck, Slash, Jimi Hendrix and many more to pursue his passion in music and can’t imagine a life without it.

Gerard Dandan – Keys

Gerard is a creative and skilled keyboardist who takes pride in originality and performance. He was inspired by The Police, Sting and Toto, among others to pursue his career in music, and has had many opportunities to further this dream.

He is a keyboard aficionado above all else, and aside from making music with them, also gathers them for his private collection.

O.C. Cabarse – Bass

OC has been performing since he could walk, mastering the guitar, keyboard and bass before he was a teenager. He was inspired by the music of The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson to use this love of music to become a performer.

He has performed with many bands on variety shows in the Philippines, as well as in various live venues in the Philippines and in Australia. He is at his happiest when performing live, especially when his wife and son are in the audience.

Cho Manila – Drums

Coming from a family of musicians, Cho was destined to follow in their footsteps, and when he began banging pots and pans at the age of seven, it was clear what instrument he would take up.

As he grew, he was further inspired by the artistry of Virgil Donati, Gavin Harrison, Steve Gadd, Jaco Pastorius and many more to become the fantastic drummer he is today.
